Israel evacuates half of Ulpana families

If Israel wants ALL the land, she must legally annex. She can do that, but then all of the WB residents will be citizens. Until then, Israel is a land to theives.

I would hope that the settlers can sue the State if they can prove their point once the matter is concluded by the courts. I am struck by one fundamental point that I cannot ignore. Wasn't Israel a promise kept by our G-d who also named Jacob Israel, the twelve tribes of Israel, the land Israel and, not to forget Zion, which our G-d says he chose for His place of dwelling? As a matter of fact, even if you are not religious, one also cannot ignore the reality of the facts on the ground: Israel has been reborn as prophecy and our sages wrote of eons before hand. Al this adding fuel to the same contest possession of Israel by how many nations for how many centuries?? Most Jews I know are not religious but, ironically, hold these things to be true and Holy. May I add, "Next year all of Jerusalem" And, BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!

So which is it - not private, and therefore not requiring of compensation. Or private and therefore requiring of compensation. Instead of writing in Haaretz why not write to the supreme court and point out the error in their judgment?

Could one say "the land is mine because Jesus told me so?" The Buddah? Ganesa? The only thing that will prove owner ship is a (non forged) seed AND a money trail back to the original owner.

Stephen, Please read my post before you criticize. I clearly stated even if the land was private (which it has not yet been determined it is) the state could and should have used eminent domain.

Who did the arabs buy Israel's land from? All of Israel's land was a gift from the Israeli's G-d. or 2) Legally annex it all. This seems the better solutions. Annex the land and them all of it will be Israel. Jerusalem will then b WITHIn the borders of Israel, which it is not at this time. Then, all of it will be called Israel and all Palestinians will have fill citizenship. However, the settlers will have to break themselves of their criminal habits. They will have to get jobs and buy or rent their homes. The world community will also require that Israel and her new Palestinian citizens draft a Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Otherwise it's just YOUR word.

No doubt Jews has been living in Israel before 1948 but so have many other people too. Its not a reasonable argument to use when generations of palestinians have lived on the same land. If you look at the present situation, israel is creating the problem it want to protect itself from. With justice come peace. Where should palestinians go when their homes and land is being overtaken by someone else? You can't steal private land from someone by saying this land was yours 3000 years ago. What "madras" got to do with it? Its a simple question of justice and democratic values. take a daytrip to West Bank and see reality for yourself....

Almost thirteen years ago the Israeli courts delivered a stop work order at Ulpana and since 2008 there has been a demplotion order in place. Enough of the BS, direct some of that abundant righteousness toward observation of the law.
