Iran military head: 'Zionists' are behind Norway terror attacks

By DPA Tags: Iran Iran threatThe head of the Iranian military on Saturday accused "the Zionists" of being behind the terrorist attacks in Norway, the Iranian state-owned English-language broadcaster Press TV reported on Saturday.
The chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of Iran's armed forces, Hassan Firouzabadi, said in a statement that "the Zionists are behind the terrorist attacks in Norway, as they fuel rightist sentiments, foster terrorism and use world people as their toys in pursuit of their objectives."

Firouzabadi was referring to the double attack in Norway last week, in which at least 76 people were killed, many of them youth.
Anders Behring Breivik, an extreme rightist, has claimed responsibility for both attacks, a shooting spree at a Labor Party youth camp on Utoeya island where he allegedly killed 68, and a bombing of Oslo's government district, where he allegedly killed 8.
Breivik claims to have acted alone.
"The world should be on alert of the Zionist regime attempts to create deviation within Christianity and spread Christian Zionism," the general added in the statement carried by Press TV.
Iranian officials frequently accuse Israel, whom they often refer to as "the Zionists", of being behind any incident with an anti-Islamic connection.

And he cimmitted the massacre one day after the youth camp called on Norway's foreign minister to support the Palestinian bid for full membership of the UN. Coincidence? Maybe, but it stinks to high heaven.

If we are to accept that Islamic culture, text books and - non-violent but still extreme - clerics have played a role in creating an atmosphere where Islamic terrorism can grow, then we must also accept that extreme right wing commentators like Melanie Phillips and geert Wilders have created an atmosphere where anti-muslim sentiment is considered mainstream etc. Of course any sensible person diverges at the point where he tries to lay the blame entirely on Israel. Anders Behring Breivik credited his hate for Islamic people to the way he was treated by Islamic people. I have no idea if the events he sites really happened, about being routinely subjected to beatings and humiliation by Islamic gangs, but he does state that this was the foundation of his hate. So if any one is going to listent othis man and blame some group of people for his actions the blame would have to fall on the Islamic community, not Israel. I get the feeling this guy is not all there and that a lot of what he says is just nonsense. Like most racist, his hate is likely without merit. The same goes for every person who hates Israel, they are just senseless racists.

The person who committed the atrocities in Norway published a 1500 page manifesto laying out how, and why he carried out the attack. Frontline and central is the fact that the current government in Norway apart from allowing Moslems to immigrate, did not support the government of Israel in a manner that he would like. He also quoted various correspondents who he supported. Like Melanie Phillips who is strident in her support for Israel in the UK press. You might not like it, and frankly I don't blame you, but he killed those children in support of Israel, remembering of course the camp they were on was one for the ruling party's young members. The only apology that Israel could make is that lives were lost to which there may have been a better way to handle the terrorists who tried to break the Weapons Blockade of Gaza. The best way to have saved lives would have been for Turkey to have stopped the IHH flotilla in the first place therefore Turkey should apologise for allowing the flotilla.
