You just can't attack another country because it is building nuclear weapons - you just don't do that anymore - somewhat similar really by still having the dead sentence in a Western World country - you just don't do that anymore (except in the US ofcourse). Why allow Israel to have such weapons and allow them to bomb Iran for wanting to have the same. Doesn't make sense. Or India is allowed to have such weapons but we're angry with Pakistan having the same. The time has come that we understand that slavery or second-class citizenship or third world country perceptions are outdated. Time to evolve in a more sophisticated 21th century world. Our President understands that, Bush never did, and Israe is trying to do pull a fast one by asking the US to do the dirty work. These days are over.

Interestingly Iran has never threatened to attack Israel by military means except as a response to an attack. All Iranian leaders have said, and that is solely playing to some Arab street sentiments, is that the "regime" in Israel will not survive long run. The hyperboles and extrapolations are mostly fanciful propaganda tactics by some Israeli politicians and friends. So who is crazy here ? Netanyahu and Barak are playing crazy. But it is the US that has put the knife in their hands.

the two B grade heroes are replaying theier commando days, endangering israel, bolstering right wing forces and inducing a permanet sense of dread in the population. israel could not endure a massive ongoing rocket attack from three siides. it would be worse than the Holocaust as the state wiwthered as a result of misguided agression.

The American public is not going to support a war against Iran. The Republicans are trying to avoid the issue but the Democrats have decided that is their key to victory in November and are about to label Romney and his follows as Bush like warmongers. AIPAC is not going to be happy and they control much of the media in the US but not the internet. I am an old Goldwater Republican but I won't support Romney because I am sick and tired of watching our politicians pledge allegiance to Israel instead of the US. "Overplayed their hand" is an understatement.

An American humorist once remarked, "The best thing to do if you have dug yourself into a hole is to stop digging"! Between Bibi, Barak and their accomplises, they will keep digging. Haaretz reported that Barack has a side job as a consultant to a hedge fund. How convenient that he can tip his buddies in the hedge fund and then rattle the saber. Not sure I agree with mixing the terms strategic relationship with Pres Obama based on Gen Dempsey comments. If Israel goes, the U.S. will follow regardless of the cold relationship Pres Obama has towards Israel. The Straights of Oman, oil, the middle east is the strategic interest to the U.S., not Pres Obama's nor Gen Demsey's relationship....interesting opinion but it too narrow.

Needless to say, Israel prefers the unquestioning, glassy eyed support they got from Obama's predecessors. The Israeli government simply does not know how to react. They have become so used to giving American politicians marching orders that there never had to be a plan B. Now it looks like there will be pow wows to seek a plan B.

And that is precisely why the attack must go forward. When they least expect it. The Syrians have been removed from the equation, at least temporarily, and Sunni hostility against any Persian influence in the Middle East has reached fever pitch. Witness what will happen to the Alawite enclaves in Syria & Lebanon once Assad is deposed. The timing in Israel's favor could not be better. Add to this a pre-election strike that will force Obama's hand to help Israel, if he wants the Jewish and Christian vote. The fallback to Romney would be in Israel's favor. Gentlemen - we have EXACTLY 60 days!

At first, Bibi was sure that he could force Obama into a war with Iran simply by making a unilateral Israeli attack on Iran. Now Bibi is not so sure. Does Bibi want to be the first leader of Israel that caused an American president to suspend support to Israel. Recently the white house said that all options are on the table concerning Iran. All options certainly will include America stepping back from an attack on Iran and letting Israel and Iran fight it out. Sometimes this is what a parent will do for a child and it is usually the best thing. Let the child fight his own fights. This builds character and teaches the child valuable life lessons for when he grows up.

So once again America along with it's puppet master are going to go to war on an assumption. The war in Iraq was born on a lie , of course it was staged for political purposes and the gains for America and Israel. Now Iran , who by the way has attacked no one and yes has nuclear aspirations , is in the sights of Israel and America. Why hasn't America stopped Pakistan and India from having these weapons , especially Pakistan. Until Israel is pulled up and made to abide by international law they will continue to get america to do their dirty work. Why doesn't the world give an altermatum to Israel concerning the illegal settlements , why wont they stop them , it is against international law what they are doing , why doesn't america say stop or we will stop you. As usual Isreal is the real puppet master and America is their bitch.
