  Those religious I've met are plently happy to let Secular Jews do the fighting while they spend all their time in prayer and living off the government's shekel.

  You Guys Need to Get Out More

  If you ask any commander in the army, they will tell you that the a high percentage of their most committed soldiers are the religious ones. They are comprising a disproportionate number of new officers, because of their idealistic commitment. There are plenty in the Yeshivas, some of whom want to serve and some of whom don't. But tarring them all is both unfair and inaccurate. I am a strong believer in Torah study as are my rabbi son (Chail Avi) and student son (Tzanchanim). Your comments are an insult to them and the many thousands of others who serve. Just go to any Tekes and look for all the kipot there. It will be an eye-opener, I assure you!
