Hezbollah leader praises Hamas for West Bank shooting attacks
Nasrallah on attacks which left 4 Israelis dead and 2 injured this week: This is the way to free Jerusalem and Palestine.
By Jack Khoury and Haaretz Service Tags: Israel news Hassan NasrallahHezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah praised Hamas on Friday for the West Bank shooting attacks which left four Israelis dead and two injured on two consecutive days, saying "this is the way to free Jerusalem and Palestine."
Four Israelis were killed and two injured this past week in separate shooting attacks in the West Bank. The armed wing of Hamas, the Qassam Brigades, took responsibly for both attacks and vowed that there would be more, just as U.S.-sponsored direct peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians were officially launched in Washington.

Speaking at a rally held in honor of Jerusalem day, in a neighborhood south of Beirut, Nasrallah criticized the Palestinian Authority for agreeing to direct negotiations with Israel.
"These negotiations were born to die," Nasrallah said.
"Palestine from the sea to the river is the property of the Palestinian nation, of the Arab and the Muslim, and no one has the right to relinquish that land, not even a drop of its water," Nasrallah said.
While criticizing the Palestinian Authority, Nasrallah said the Palestinian group Hamas and other opposition forces "need to hear voices of support from the Arab and Islamic world."
He continued by praising "the steadfast position of resistance forces in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq, along with Syria and Iran," which are helping to prevent Israel and the United States from establishing a "new Middle East."
Jerusalem day was declared by the late supreme leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, grand ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and is held on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan. On this day, mass rallies against Israel and in support of the Palestinians are held throughout the Arab world.
The rallies this year coincided with the first direct Middle East peace talks in almost two years, in Washington, where U.S. President Barack Obama was hosting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Just take the A out of Hamas and you get a bunch of hams.
They have been planted in OCCUPIED land by their disloyal government in order to further their political aims. The blame for these murders should be placed on Israeli Government policy. Thats the irony, as the government always preaches 'security needs'.
He is panicked man ,he is peace-phobic. A peace agreement would shatter the very of foundation of Hamas and other ideological groups .their political existence reside upon war.
he never met a murderer he didn't like.
I need help to understand the Muslim world. You have al-Qaida taking credit for bombing Shi'ites today in Pakistan, who had met to participate in a protest for 'al-Quds' day - in support of Palestinians (who are mostly Sunni, are they not, ?) and against Israel (of course - about the only thing Muslims seem to be able to agree on.). and then this! And then this fat little Hezbollah man comes on? Will he condemn al-Qaida killing Shi'ites, or is that OK just so long as it's Muslim-on-Muslim? I'm so confused! Besides wanting everyone dead, what is fundamentalist Islam about?
but Mr. Nasrallah you are an evil man. I hope we never see or hear from you again. Leave good people alone, expressly if it is a mother with child.
It's a vicious circle. As long as the Arab people allow demagogues to rule them, as long as the mosques continue to brainwash the masses, as long as the odious lies are repeated ad nauseam the Arab people will continue to believe that Israel is the enemy and that it has to be destroyed. Maybe one day this vicious circle will be broken but I can't see this happening just now or in the near future. Nasrallah, Ahmadinejad, the Muslim religious leaders and all the other cowards including the treacherous leftist anti Israel movement use, manipulate and incite the Arabs (and Palestinians) to continue their “struggle” against Israel. They will fail, as so many have failed before them.
Nasrallah and all those involved in pinning down Israel within Palestine proper and those Arabs in Iraq and Muslims in Afghanistan who taught the Americans lessons that they will never forget are the real resistant fighters. America has lost trillions of dollars leading to their economic collapse in the U.S. which will take down Israel with it. The medicine for Aggression and arrogance is real resistance.
This is the way to get us nuked!
As the klu klax clan showed us, men in long dresses and satanic blood shedding go together. The man is an inhumane monster.
what are the Israelis doing in Palestine? a settler means a thief !
Sunnis wouldn't be could dead following something dictated by Khomeini. Today this is nothing more than a distraction by Iran and her proxies to deflect attention away from Iranian domestic problems and eventually their own relevance.
Nasrallah apparently still does not feel secure enough to speak in public even in his own stronghold. Step out into the light old boy.
Attacking settlers who chose to live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem is the only way Palestinians can oppose the occupation without hurting Israeli civilians who live in Israel. At the same time I condemn Hizbullah for thinking that Palestine is the property of Muslims and Arabs alone. Palestine belongs to all its inhabitants, Muslims, Jews and Christians. The settlers have only themselves for they violence they attract.
to respond...
43 people in pakistan were just killed by anti-palestinian sunni bombers for marching in support of quds day. where's the outrage? anyone? anyone? bueller?
By the way, nasrallah means God victory....this is far from being a holy business!!!
What a charade the BUM came behind the curtain and out of his bunker to congratulate Hamas, but does ot congratulate the REAL people who blew his weapons into smithereens. What ridiculous people are those Shites! Oh I know I did not spell it correctly? DI IT ON PURPOSE AND YOU MOST PROBABLY UNDERSTOOD
and I cant assure you that whatever this guy is saying, is not the public opinion in Lebanon. My sympathy to the family of these 4 people that were killed, and may there be peace soon in the region ! Cheers.
Haaretz should be congratulated on this amazing acquisition. The man is unable to operate the system: 1. Every time he does moderation, some article (if not more) is taken off-line. 2. He concentrates SOLELY on the top article, completely ignoring all the others so that comments posted in them are allowed to sink into oblivion. So what if people spent time thinking about their comments? Their time is not the idiot's time. And would this idiot dare ask anyone how to operate the system? No, because he will look foolish! Listen idiot, an incompetent like you looks foolish anyhow, there is no way hiding it! You might as well GAIN some knowledge and save some heartache.
The only way to have peace in Holy Land is via Messiah! This mission belong to him! Shabat Shalom!
With all my considerable criticism of Israeli policy, I always remember that their are extremely ignorant and hateful people out there on the horizon. Nasrallah will be leading his people to destruction along with his Iranian colleagues because they deal in death and rejoice in the murder of the so-called 'enemy". While Israel is by far no saint like nation, they pale in comparison to the utter meanness embodied in these mideival figures.
the US Marines have an aging score to settle with Hezbollah, and their allies in Iran who took hostages and tortured them, they will exact their revenge, and it is not going to be pretty,
If the extremists Settler "Price Tag" policy is despicable, what then of the Hamas and Hezbullah "price tag" for daring to negotiate peace? Will we hear all those who condemn "Price Tag" double their complaints against H & H? Of course not. The psychic benefits arising from their primitive understanding of the situation and their double standards are too great to bother with decency. That their lack of decency supports the right wing perception that Arabs want to destroy Israel whether or not Israel includes the West Bank is also not a concern to them. It's amazing how that sort stands in the way of a peace and a two state solution, and they do not care that they are doing so.
Hassan, is shooting pregnant women going to bring freedom to the Palestinians? Have you forgotten what it is like to loose a child?
How many of them do you think were children? Go ahead, take a guess.
This certainly reinforces Israel's take on the conflict. Israel is fighting purely for survival and much of the Arab world finds it impossible to understand a perspective other than its own, fails to appreciate that it is simply attempting to retake by force that which was originally taken by force, fails to appreciate the historic claim of the Jewish people to the region, fails to understand that it is peace and recognition of the Jewish state and peaceful relations with it that would foster prosperity and a normal life for its own people and fails to understand that given Israel's resources it cannot take back Israeli lands. At best, from the Arab perspective, all that can be achieved is scorching the earth of Israel and Arab enemies. Anyway, thanks Nasrallah! You must be another Israeli agent, eh!
They need to be realistic and know that with their poor weapons will never defeat israel with its most up to date lethal weapons.
Yes, they are enemies of their own people, but the vast majority of these "own people" is just like them, but of smaller scale.
The North Vietnamese had vastly inferior equipment to the Americans and the Afghans had vastly inferior equipment to the Russians, yet both the North Vietnamese and the Afghans were victorious and expelled the super powers from their nations. In the case of Hizbollah, hamas, and Israel, all the militants must do is gain posession of a medium sized WMD. This will cancel out all of Israels military superiority and may even make them think seriously about peace. The future is never certain but one thing that is certain is that there is no future for people who give up.
but you do agree with the statement: "Palestine from the sea to the river is the property of the Palestinian nation, of the Arab and the Muslim, and no one has the right to relinquish that land, not even a drop of its water," just not with the tactics, right?
I am christian Palestinian and they are not.
Its ok to support your own kind.
Killing innocent civilians , is and allways will be an act of barbarism and can never be justified for no reason whatsoever ! The so called "religious leaders " on BOTH sides should be ashamed of themselves for constantly poisoning the minds of there followers !
....commit murder on innocent civilians. To wish that G0d would make certain people disapear is quite different than killing and rejoicing in the murder of pregnant women and unarmed men..
you actually raise a very interesting topic that has never been able to be answered. is killing innocent people EVER okay? was bombing hiroshima to end the war justified, even if it killed a hundred thousand people in a half hour? are settlers really innocent, if they choose to invade land? were british and dutch settlers in early america innocent? when some were killed by native americans, was it entirely the natives' fault? hmmmm.

civilians? u mean the armed settlers? those who are occupying the others land and properties?
If you were better informed, you would have known that Jews lived in those territories all the way up until 1948 when Jordan kicked them all out. 19 years later, Jordan attacked Israel and Jews were able to move back in. That's "invading?"
The Arabs attacked in 1967, AND LOST. Had they not done this, there would have been no Settlers. Blame the stupid Arab leaders.
Egypt, Jordan and any moderate Arab nation will have to seperate themseleves from the crazies in Iran, Lebanon and Syria. Any one who agrees that the murder of inoccent poeple, Israeli or Arab, is a terrorist. Period. The peace process will surely be high jacked by extrmeist Islamist maniacs. At the end of the day it is the Pals who will suffer the most because of this. This is called irony.
he'll come out of his bunker to catch a breath of fresh air nd then .......
Dare ya!
So your people don't use it and stand it front of Hamas rockets by saying "We will crush You"? Get a life instead of writing about what you don't understand...
Give Nasrallah one F35 fighter and the whole Zionist population will stay underground forever.
the articel said it was from suburb and not cave. Looks you have trouble understanding English.
NONE of them want a peaceful creation of a Palestinian state. Their actions combined will make it impossible; Hamas and Hezbollah will attack civilians, YB and Shas will demand a hard line that will get Palestinian civilians killed or cause more land theft, Hamas and Hezbollah will then have a pretext to kill more civilians. Who loses? The Israeli and Palestinian people. Who gains? Well, I think the answer to that question is obvious.
While they are on the far right, YB and Shas do not advocate blatant murder.
All this terrorist operations will never help the Palestinian people to reach peace. This is not "the way to free Jerusalem and Palestine" . But then we know that what Hezbollah and Hamas want is not peace. If there will be signed peace between Israel and Palestinians, Hamas and Hezbollah will loose their meaning of existance.
so never will be peace with what-so-called-israel, because Palestinians r hamas and hamas is palestine
so never will be peace with what-so-called-israel, because Palestinians r hamas and hamas is palestine
so never will be peace with what-so-called-israel, because Palestinians r hamas and hamas is palestine
for their existance NOW !!!
"Just sign this piece of paper and put down your weapons and we won't steal any more of your land. We PROMISE."
what peace treaty you talking about? what negociation is that? enjoy the back up of USA,,,, but when time comes and the american tax payer realize that israel is overloading then better pack up and get one way ticket ready
The UN experiment is somewhat of a failure. A tragedy. The Sovereignty created conveniently fails to recognize it's boundaries, specifically in order to grow larger. It endangers it's own people by having them settle in "territories occupied". Even providing them infrastructure. (The GC's are to protect ALL civilians) A government who purposefully puts it's citizens in harms way... tch tch tch The US veto vote has ruined the chance for peace thus far.
Jerusalem belongs to Palestinians? Who says so. Just because a lie is repeated for 30 years does not make it true.....
