This has got to be one of the saddest and stupidest articles that I have read in a long time. Thanks Amira and all you activists for trying to keep yourselves relevant by pulling stunts like this but I don't feel sorry for you at all. Although the activists did not fight the soldiers, they resisted by being disobedient and let me tell you that anyone resisting and disobeying arrest here in Canada will receive a similar dose from a taser and get handcuffed. This article is just an over-sensationalized attempt to keep these activist in the spotlight over a relatively non-eventful matter. You do not have my sympathy and I really do not feel bad for poor Elhanan who lost his raincoat. That he has been a victim of terror and lost family members is terrible but this does not condone these types of actions. You know Amira - I also lost my umbrella recently, maybe you can write a sad-sacked article about that for me as well. What ALL Israeli's should be looking at here is the damaging cost the maintenance of the Occupation is having on their economy. The cost of retaining land that legally was never theirs when they claimed Sovereignty. The Cost of pursuing that has cost them global acceptance and stunted their growth within the global community. Imagine what those billions of dollars annually spent on FFO to run warships,Aviation fuel to keep aircraft and helicopters in the air. Petrol and diesel for tanks and other military vehicles. All this money more or less burnt in the pursuit of blind arrogance and stubborness that could have been used to develop Israel proper and made lives of every Israeli far better. It is the Occupation and constant taking of Palestinian territory that keeps Israel from having a friendly status with its neighbours. It is that pursuit that put Israel offside with its neighbours from day one. When will Israel learn. When will it recognise it is its own worst enemy. It is a nation caught up in a sick mindset.
