In June, Foreign Ministry representatives filed a complaint about suspected legal violations committed by the employee.
He was arrested last week and released to house arrest in Israel two days ago. He has denied any connection to the charges against him.
The Israel Police's Unit of International Crime Investigations cooperated with Jordanian authorities during the investigation. A number of Jordanian nationals employed by the embassy were investigated.
One local employee of the embassy in Amman was arrested and her detention was extended by Jordanian authorities for two weeks.
