and then of course there have been many reports (by the UN and human rights organisations) of the use of human shields, indiscriminate use of force, deliberate targetting of non-combatants (like those policemen in their offices at the start of Cast Lead). (Attempts to) aquisition of territory based on a no-longer existing "right of conquest". Until these have been examined by a legitimate court of international law, it's rather premature to just declare that Israel is not committing war crimes and other breaches of international law. Israel has the right to defend its citizens just like any other state, but it has the legal obligation to do so in accordance with international law. Self defense is not a blank excuse just to do whatever you want.

And there were war crimes committed in Operation Cast Lead in Nov. 2008. We have Israeli court convictions, including for the attack on the UN school.

I don't think many would dispute Israel's right to defend itself against terrorists. This, however, does not mean that all actions taken while defending against terrorists are legitimate or legal.

What does 'Jewish money' have to do with anything? The issue here is about *Israeli* war criminals. It has nothing to do with 'Jews'. In case you hadn't noticed, many of the leading figures who are confronting Israel about its war crimes are Jewish. The attempt to conflate 'Jewish' and 'Israeli' so that criticism of Israeli equates to anti-semitism is a dog that's had its day. The rest of the world sees through it now. We're not anti-semitic, we're not holocaust deniers - we just don't like war criminals and and land thieves.

There's not any rational argument to support Israel's stance. Anti - Semitism is the only card Israel can play.

Obama has diplomatic immunity.

Collective punishment is a warcrime. Forceful placement of a population in regards to occupied territories is a warcrime. The deliberate destruction of civilian infrastructure (schools, hospitals, airports, bridges, etc) is a warcrime. Israel is guilty of all of the above, and then some. So yes, they ARE violating the Geneva Conventions, and as such, they ARE guilty of warcrimes. Nothing you say or do will change this fact.
