Facebook removes page calling for a 'Third Palestinian Intifada'
In the original page, Palestinians are urged to take to the streets after Friday prayers on May 15 and begin an uprising in the vein of the first two popular uprisings.

On the original page, Palestinians are urged to take to the streets after Friday prayers on May 15 and begin an uprising in the vein of the first two popular uprisings. "Judgment Day will be brought upon us only once the Muslims have killed all of the Jews," reads the call. The page had more than 340,000 fans.
Although the page was removed, a new page already exists in its place with the same name of "Third Palestinian Intifada."
The Anti Defamation League had filed an official complaint against Facebook for allowing the page to remain up.
In addition, Minister Yuli Edelstein wrote a letter to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, warning that the page includes calls to kill Jews and to liberate Jerusalem through violence.
The page incites to violence and violates Facebook content regulations, wrote Edelstein.
ADL National Director Abraham Foxman said about the page "We should not be so naïve to believe that a campaign for a ‘Third Intifada’ does not portend renewed violence, especially in the current climate that has seen a dramatic increase in rocket attacks from Gaza, the brutal murder of the Fogel family in the West Bank, and a terrorist bombing in Jerusalem."
Facebook has not released an official response to the Israeli government's request or the ADL statement.

One Hate page removed, but like weeds another one is sure to come up!
I'm a Muslim and Arab and I reported the page and It's contents until it was closed. don't make it sound like 300k+ people represent all Arabs. we are 360 million and I'm sure not all of us want to "kill all the Jews". I have been and I will always be for Peace and against violence, no matter who does it. and I truthfully believe in Israel's right to exist. Peace to everyone. PS. For my Fellow Arabs with the ready accusations : No, I'm not getting paid by the Mosad or the CIA. I believe in everything I just said.
how long do you think this page would last? Gauranteed it would get more media attention than any Palestinian page portending peace while threatening to murder Jews.
I didn't read where the webmaster referenced judgment day once all the Muslims kill all the Jews. The third page didn't say that. I haven't seen the first one to comment. However, some individual members did post such things, though not all, and some posted against that. I thought it was ridiculous that he said he would call on Christians and Muslims to boycott facebook when he referred to Jews as infidels kuffar. He did not say that about Christians, however, in respect to the Palestinian Christians, I presume? Anyway, the idea is childish and stupid.
My previous comment didn't make it. Here a softer version. This article is BS. If the page (not the comments, but the page itself) called for the "death of all Jews," FB would have taken it down much earlier. Foxman did not condemn the page while pointing at that line (and why not? Because prior to this article, no mention was ever made! Come on, now!) He says it would be "naive" not to infer that the page calls for violence. Infer! That means there is no explicit call for violence. If there was, then FB, Foxman and Haaretz have all failed.
Israel's criminal actions and occupation of the Palestinians and their lands are the reasons that caused the previous uprisings and will be the cause of the next uprising. The Facebook page is not the reason for causing any uprising. Israel is the cause.
I haven't read it in awhile, but if I recall, even the Hamas charter specifies that it isn't - so the page doesn't really reflect the Palestinian cause anyway. Trying to make it a religious war not only damages the legitimacy of their cause, but it benefits Israeli hasbara, which tries to sell the notion that it IS!

There is nothing racist or political in a decision that is long overdue. Facebook is merely enforcing it's own terms of service, freely avaliable in its webpage. Please read point 3.7: "You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence." Wether you agree with their cause or not, the page in question surely incites violence (as you can see by the translations in this page) and a case can be made for it being hateful, thus the removal is correct. And yes, there's a new one already (as this news piece mentions) but the "likes" count is reseted and it'll probably be removed as well, sonner or later (if the wording remains the same)
if it is true that the page says judgment day will not happen until all the jews have been killed, this intifada will never be successful. i really can't blame palestinians for hating israel as a state, but jews are people of the book and it is not the muslim responsibility to kill anyone because of religion. But facebook should be careful, it's true colors, pun intended, are showing.
no matter what we all believe in, we should all agree that killing is wrong. period. not a question of faith. Now watch a decentralized 3rd intifada group system achieve what the original group wanted, and more. 62 of occupation and dispossession is enough, the Arab Palestinian people have had ENOUGH. The world must wake up and realize that we aren't going anywhere, and that we refuse to be subjugated any further. Not even a minute.
but why present it like a religious call? I do not agree with this on religious grounds, this is an heresy. a war is a war but using religion to justify such action is a complete disgrace to all muslims. It is a deep misunderstanding of our texts. fight for your freedom but leave God out of it. God is not hartred, and we must respect our christian and jewish cousins even when they are misguided like some israelis are. on civil grounds, fight for your rights but unecessary killing...is prohibited. so far there is a chance to sort this out the legal way so why call for their death as a whole? violence must be used as a very last option.
