Europe has been putting heavy diplomatic pressure on Israel to reverse its decision to proceed with development plans for a new neighborhood in the area between Ma’aleh Adumim and Jerusalem, known as the E1 corridor. Since Friday, five senior European ambassadors have communicated strong words of protest to the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, all bearing the same main message: the European Union’s demand that...

ROTFL!!! WHAT support? As in the UNEF force which scuttled out of Sinai in 1967? Or Res. 1701 which has allowed Hezbollah to rearm to the max while the UN acts as its "human shields"? Or the European support for Hamas whenever it launches rockets at Israeli townships--European calls for "restraint" and "proportionality" only appear AFTER Israel responds. Or European perfidy in undoing the Olso Accords last week--the very treaties they sponsored and promised to enforce? Hahahahaha!!

India just chose Israel to deliver some new weapons, which will increase the trade in military technology and arms between the two countries - which is already quite high. In other news, China is expected to become Israel's #2 importer (China buys stuff), thus, replacing UK. India and Brazil have moved up the trade list, as European countries - which decreased spending - have moved down. India, for example, is also Israel's natural ally <- surely, this is not classified information.

Each and every settlement that Israel has built in the territories it occupied in 1967 is ILLEGAL. Israel does not need EU support at the UN. It already has the unconditional veto from the US. If the EU wants to make Israel comply with International Law, it has to use its main asset: trade. The EU is Israel's main trading partner, and has granted it preferential status through association agreements. The only threat that will work is downgrading those relations, or even canceling the agreements. Grow some teeth!!

The UN does not require any one nation to recognise another nation, neither is any country required to acknowledge the religion or ethnicity of any other country. The goal-post was moved from "Palestinian Arabs must recognise Israel's right to exist" to - after they had done this numerous times publicly both in Arabic and English - "Palestinian Arabs must recognise Israel's right to exist as the Jewish state."
