EU allocates millions to Galilee research institute
The 4.4 million euro grant is meant to set up a center to study the environment, health and their effect on aging; Israeli government never came up with similar support, says Upper Galilee Council head.
The Migal Galilee Technology Center in Kiryat Shmona has received a 4.4 million euro grant from the European Union to establish a Center of Excellence for Research on Environment, Health and Aging (CEREHA). The grant is from the EU Research and Technological Program to Migal, an applied research institute in the disciplines of biotechnology, environmental sciences and agriculture.
