Hamas are simply testing Egypt to see how far they will go in support of them. Anything less than an Israel- Egypt was will disappoint Hamas, and all those Palestinian lives lost, will be for nothing.

There was a point when even Cast Lead was not yet what it became. Don't count your blessings before Bibi finishes his latest tantrum. THAT will be sometime AFTER November 29, -when the UN is scheduled to vote on Palestinian recognition. And after that, God only knows.

The main result of this operation? Hamas is now the chief representative of the Palestinian people. The stream of high profile visitors from the Arab world is impressive. From being a group from the radical fringe Hamas has evolved to the center of relevance. War rhetorics aside, these are the people Israel will have to talk to in the future.

Not sure why Netanyahu feels the need to release every thought he gets to the media, like how many reserves called up, what they might do, etc. Surely there are hundreds of ways for Hamas to get this info if that's the goal. Netanyahu needs to realize that he is the epitome of the boy who cried wolf, and if even civilians are onto him, surely are Israel's enemies.

An “immoral massacre against the media” and a tacit acknowledgment by Israel “that it has lost the media battle.” It has also lost some of our sympathy.

This a great summation of the present situation let's hope the prognostic is correct.
