It was clear enough by his opposition to Obama in the Florida tv commercials, and the several times he has snubbed Obama in press conferences, that he did not support Obama--and given his friendship with Adelson and Romney, that he clearly supported the Republican ballot. No . Israel will have to face Muslim hardliners not because of Obama's policies, but because of Israel's policies. Israel is missing a golden opportunity to sign peace with the desperate Palestinians and the hopeless Arab countries now. In the future it has to deal with extremists who are gaining power in both Israel and the Arab World.

The hard reality that Israelis can not seem to understand is there is absolutely NOTHING the US can do to make the neighborhood any better for Israel. What practical things could Obama have done to keep Mubarak in power?
