Clinton's resignation ­is Netanyahu's missed opportunity

It always amazes me how so many Ha'aretz reporters manage to blame Israel for the fact that we don't have a peace treaty with the Palestinians. They seem to totally ignore the fact that the Palestinians are intransigent and have no intention of coming to any agreement with us. Their goal is and always has been to rid Israel of all Jews and take over our land. For the Americans or anyone else to urge us to make peace, to be 'nice' to the Palestinians is to play the fool, which is what Clinton (and Obama) has done for the duration of her role as Secretary of State. Empathy? That's what you think the Palestinians are waiting for? A further freeze on settlements? (As if the 10 months wasn't a foolish mistake) That's what will bring Palestinians to the table? Barak Ravid lives in a different world than I do.

Ms. Hillary Clinton is the best Secretary of State ever! She already wrote so important page in American history! Sec. Clinton already show that military and intelligence MUST go hand – in – hand with diplomacy… and she build new bridges that this country desperately need… Ms. Hillary conform what Adm. Mullen said: “ Making friends is cheaper than fighting war”. Ms. Hillary Clinton was my suggestion for Presidential Medal of Freedom ! I hope she will be Presidential candidate in 2016.

What's rassicm ? If one dont wants to get sense of the needs , sorrows and belonging the strangers you meet have . And on basis of this ignorance you charge them ood or bad !

Bibi wanting peace? that's a new one. Perhaps it was more that Hillary was soft on Israel..toning down Obama's words. Lets see the sparks fly now.

She has a Jewish son in law and expressed a desire to return to Israel as a citizen with a Jewish grandchild. How would that help the Palestinians?

It's depressing when hatred and murder can become boring, but the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is so caveman-perpetuated that it's impossible to care about it anymore. Let the tribes kill the tribes. We may as well put it on Fox Reality Television and make some money off of it. They're never going to figure it out.

Israel has locked itself into a its own coffin.

Israel's Government to make further positive overtures towards peace negotiations with the Palestinians, but even PM Netanyahu couldn't bring his own coalition members to make the bold steps required. How could she do better than Netanyahu? It was definitely unnecessary for the Secretary of State to put more mileage into trips with the leaders as U.S. envoy George Mitchell fulfilled the necessary efforts throughout Obama's first administration to initiate the preliminary talks of the negotiations - which of course led astray. All in all, Hillary Clinton remained an individual with great integrity and gratiousness in representing the United States and women in politics.

Clinton's problem was that she was not putting sufficient pressure on "the racist, nationalist, anti-democratic and extremists in Israel".

Name one international accomplishment that Hillary was responsible for. I can count a dozen international disasters she presided over. I it a good thing she is stepping down. Netanyahu missed nothing.

Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians have always been a farce----all the parties know it, and America made the farce work yesterday and today. The fly in the farce is the recent UNHRC report on Israel's occupation of Palestinian land, the settlements, and Israel's human rights violations. If the Clintons were truly supporters of Israel they would have persuaded Netanyahu and former PMs of the necessity of relinquishing the occupied Palestinian territories. The UMHRC report is a clear indication of Washington's failure to use its status in the UN to seriously promote peace in the Middle East.
