Many of these BACK ROOM DEALS are already in the works and only THEY stand too loose MONEY if Abbas goes. The rest of us will suffer and loose.

Israelis want 100% enthusiastic support from others in order to certify them kosher. Anything less will only bring the Israelis own doubts and misgivings to mind.

Israelis have the impression that the more land they can steal, the more land they can keep when they are finally stopped in their tracks. That is not the case and will never be the case. The population transfer during the partition of India was a hundred times more difficult than a complete withdrawal of the west bank would be.

It is true that Abbas is acting against Israel in legal and diplomatic arenas as he should as a representative of the Palestinian people. I think Netanyahu tolerates Abbas because he basically gives him little trouble on a day to day basis and Abbas keeps the Palestinians under control. Netanyahu has no intention of real peace brokering, and he's content to blame this on Abbas. Netanyahu is fooling no one, he's satisfied with the status quo. I think his underlying message to the settlers is build, build, build.
