Fatah Official: 'Hidden Hands' Stopped Signing of Cairo Accord

Despite attempts by the Palestinians to present a united front in talks about ending the Gaza war, differences of opinion among different elements are surfacing.

Azzam al-Ahmad, a senior Fatah official and head of the Palestinian delegation to cease-fire talks in Cairo, said Monday that an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians could be reached at any moment, but that “hidden hands” have prevented the sides from signing such an accord.
