Cribs, Israel-style: Kfar Shmaryahu villa emulates U.S. glitterati's palaces

While opulent mansions may be the trademark of America's best-selling rappers and movie stars, Israel's mega-rich also seek to use its riches to create mini-palaces of its own.

According to a Channel 10 survey, the country's most attractive home by far is the Kfar Shmaryahu residence of top high-tech executive Shimon Alon and his wife Ida.

The villa sprawls over a huge amount of land in the central town, one of Israel's most sought-after locales.
