Israeli model Bar Refaeli appears on the cover of this year's Sport Illustrated calendar, which went on sale this week in the United States.

Refaeli is on the cover of both the table and wall versions of the calendar.

Refaeli achieved prominence in the international modeling world after appearing on the cover of last year's swimsuit edition. She will also appear in this year's swimsuit edition which hits newsstands on February 9th. The identity of the cover model is not yet known.

Along with Refaeli, other well-known models appearing in the 2010 calendar include Brooklyn Decker and Jessica Hart.

Israeli model Esti Ginzburg was also featured in the pages of last year's swimsuit edition.

Sports Illustrated is the leading weekly sports magazine in the United States. Every winter it publishes a special edition featuring photographs of models wearing bathing suits in exotic locales. Appearing on the cover is considered a significant achievement in the modeling world.

If Israelis do not appreciate their own product, why should anyone else? Bar-Rafali represents Israel, therefore she is important. She is not a dumb blond.

She could win the bronze, if she has a private talk with one of the judges. Otherwise she is not Olympic material.

i don't care who her mother is and i don't care who she dates and i don't care how hot she is ... she intentionally refused to serve and now she wants to be adored. I love a good looking women but here is a good case of her politics making me sick. Perhaps her mother ought to ask the Shalits what they think of her daughter as they suffer and she parties. I am boycotting SI not because of the mag but because of her .. a traitor. Imagine if she had served and was on the cover ... it would send the right message to Israeli teenagers and the world. Now she makes Israel look like a fool. Her mother must be very proud.

what's the point of eating a nice piece of steak? NONE - you'd be just as well-off eating ground beef for 1/4 the price. Steak just tastes good for the moment. Rafaeli gives you that same fleeting, and ultimately completely pointless, wisp of pleasure. Maybe it's meaningless for you, but i certainly enjoy it.

Not everyone is endowed with an analytical mind, that has to fathom the intricacies of the universe. But beauty is on another plane. Enjoy it while you can. By the way can those old women bashers, appreciate, young, fresh beauties ?

Who the heck are you to determine the intellectual capacity of Bar Rafaeli? Do you know her personally? Why should we not be proud of her achievements in the career of her choice? I am sure she worked hard to achieve her international success. Nobody should be critical of this. BTW, we do celebrate Israel's achievements in High Tech and Medicine and science. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging Rafaili's achievements and man, is she gorgeous or what!

Look Israel is a great country their high tech and intellectual innovations in medicine and science has helped the world, and saved millions of lives worldwide. While their enemies work on multiple methods of killing innocent people throughout the world, and have contributed nothing positive to mankind and the world in the last hundred years. Still she is one fine BABE!!! Nothing wrong with that!!

What contribution to society to these models make, other than being dimwitted nonentities who everyone frolics over. We should celebrate the Israeli hi-tech innovators, businessmen, and scientists who are contributing to the progress of the world.
