Arad police raid marijuana grow house, seizing hundreds of plants
Grow house run by Dutch citizens; police sources: plants were cultivated in a garden next to building.
Arad police raided a massive marijuana grow house on Thursday, confiscating hundreds of plants.
The growers of the psychoactive drug were Dutch citizens who had recently moved to Arad.
Police sources said the plants were cultivated in a garden next to the building, situated on the southern town's Tarshish road. Inside the grow house, officers found an irrigated plot and water tanks.
Superintendent Yuval Paz, the commander of Arad police, said the operation was intricately planned out from the point of growing the plants to that of drying them. He also described the amount that was seized as commercial.
