Anti-Terror Bureau warns Israelis not to travel to Goa
Warning made in light of terror threats following Mumbai attack; advisory already in place on Kashmir.
By Barak Ravid and Haaretz Correspondent Tags: Mumbai attacks Israel terrorismThe Anti-Terrorism Bureau on Wednesday issued a travel advisory warning Israeli nationals against making unncessary visits to the Indian region of Goa this month, in light of the recent terror attacks in Mumbai.
While advisories of the sort are not unusual around the Christmas and New Year's season, the bureau made clear that it was wary of the "current threat of terror" throughout the country.
A travel advisory is already im place against Israeli travel in the northern region of Kashmir.
Nearly 200 people were killed late last month when Islamist terrorists attacked India's financial capital. Six Israelis were among the fatalities, when the Mumbai headquarters of the Chabad movement was takem siege by the terrorists.
