And for the Reverend Pat Robertson. Lord who speaks in earthquakes, speak now in miracles.

On hearing the words of the Reverend Pat Robertson:
A prayer for the people of Haiti, who, on a good day, must take heroic measures just to wake the next, And who must now find a way to live through the end of the world:
Lord who speaks in earthquakes Speak now in miracles.
I thank you, that first prayer begins. Modeh Ani. The words spoken for the marvel of having woken up alive.
Lord whose relief work is beyond our capabilities Breathe life today into those buried alive
I lie grateful before You, this King who lives and endures, for having brought me back this soul inside me, and with compassion.
Lord who speaks in childbirth, hear Your children now.
Hear those who have yet to be saved, Hear those who have been saved but whose limbs and lives are crushed, Hear those who pray for those who can no longer pray for themselves.
Lord who invented the language of love Teach those who, in Your name, who, calling themselves men of God, can find it in their hearts to speak only blasphemy and cruelty and scorn.
Lord who speaks in apocalypse Armor the souls of those who call out now in rescue Lord who has taught us by example the language of loss Send strength to those who, with their last strength Now seek nothing more than finding loved ones
Teach Your children by example, to comprehend the last line of that first prayer:
Your faith is immense.

In Israel such a sad mixed-up person can be the editor of a major newspaper - and that is telling...
Yes we pray for the dead Gazans, the innocents...the innocents of all wars who just died for no other reason than the guilty choose war.
Haiti The bird with the blue star Slowly circled the tarmac Its huge wings throwing A soothing shadow Over the broken earth. The torn waters Of the devastated island Whispered a tortured welcome To the blue star As the bird slowly glided down To a standstill, Delivering its precious cargo. "Turn that off, turn off the cams," The frenzied media slit the ether; Televisions all over the world Went dark. "Turn off the B. Jews," They shouted hysterically, Thinking of their intricate salaries While streams of dark hatred Regurgitated up their throats. The bird with the blue star Slowly rose into the air, Surfing the currents Away beyond the visible horizons. One day it will never again return. "Where did the Bird Go to ?" Asked the sick little boy Cradled in his mother`s arms Under a sky of steel. "God gave it another star, " Whispered his agonizing mother, Holding the story book in her lap. "When the sun goes down You can see it shinin
Religion is a myth, there is no afterlife, nobody is listening. The bibles are all proven transparent forgeries no more real than Mary Poppins or the Wizard of Oz. Sad but like trying to convince a Norwegian of Israel' decency, is trying to convince an believer of the lack of efficacy not only in faith but in the their bibles faith.
The earthquake in Haiti and other places around the world have all been meant to happen. Praying AFTER the fact is a bit late, don't you say ? What about the Holocaust victims ? How many millions died ?
It amazes me to still hear people that think they are smarter than God. If they were so smart, then why is Israel constantly being subjected to almost daily attacks by a rag-tag group of thugs which the pitiful Israeli government cannot figure out what to do about it or get it stopped. Terrorism is a law-enforcement problem. If terrorism reigns, then you know you haven't any law-enforcement.It's that simple !
I wonder how many of the 100,000 Haiti dead prayed to God... Praying is what it's always been - a waste of good breath.
I enjoy much of your writing Bradley. But I don't read Pat Robertson in his own name, who whilst, calling himself a man of God, speaking only "blasphemy and cruelty and scorn" regarding this disaster. I think that if you look closer at what he stands for you will find compassion and love but also that he is facing of the truth of who God is. Where in his comments are those elements? I am with K.A.O.Mate on this one.
Lord who speaks in earthquakes... speak now in miracles. And He speaks not in miracles, but in deeds... Amen. Through us... simple human beings. Through nations from all corners of the globe, like the US, France, Iran and Israel... along with some forty-odd other nations. Who can overlook the pictures... the suffering and the devastation. If I could have one wish... it would be for all good will people on this forum, to donate 20 dollars each to UNICEF relief effort... Amen.
Bradley Burston once wrote: "Mr Obama, grant Hamas the freedom to fail." And I found this link in the article: New York Times 1 November 2006 "Pause for Peace" by Ahmed Yousef. Ahmed Yousef is a senior adviser to the Palestinian prime minister, Ismail Haniyah. http:www.nytimes.com/2006/11/01/opinion/01yousef.html?_r=2&oref=slogin Peace would see an end to Israeli occupation. That would mean an end to ALL illegal settlements, Israel back behind the line drawn prior to 1967... I still say Bradley Burston is enlightened by the Spirit. Empathy can be felt in his words. In his heart, I am sure he prays for the innocent in Gaza. Both Hamas and Israel are (failing) losing grip. New powers are rising not only in the Middle East, but the world. The time is fast approaching when it will be too late for peace. The human race will have completely wiped itself out.
Please Lord open our eyes so that we can learn how to prevent eartquakes.
What we do know for sure is that Israel will expand its borders from the Nile in the west to the Euphrates in the east despite the efforts of countless politicians and nations. Those who oppose this will eventually be judged accordingly.
Robertson also said that 'god' gave Sharon a stroke for giving land to the Palestinians. Pat Robertson is a typical evangelical. When Jesus whispers to him (in his imagination) to kill the Jews, he will listen. Israel will be asleep. (And to others: "Zionists are not Jews by definition, they are evangelicals by nature." Two misguided, dangerous groups that must not form an alliance.
keep your prayers, send money.
eons ago by the real and true LORD in Heaven. It will be an Israel unlike the present with peace reigning over the cities and kibbutzim. Israel's present enemies will have been harshly judged and impotent. All the games being played by the world's politicians will be distant memory.... Shalom !
Hi Rosie, Thank you for the link and duly noted. I appreciate it although I doubt it helped the Children of Gaza who will suffer mental problesm until the day they die from such a horrific process. That's the children of Gaza that lived.
I take YT commentary with a pinch of salt but to focus on that issue is entirely to miss the point. If you seriously believe what your IDF mouthpeices tells you then I have a bridge to sell you. Hundreds of innocents were SLAIN in Gaza, Israel bombed the infrastructure, UN building, schools and aid centres, they dropped bombs onto a terrified population who had nowhere to run or hide because Israel controls the borders, any othe country would have had sancations. While I agree some idiots and the Hamas hoodlums don't help, to constantly drop bombs on civilians doing nothing but helplessly trying to escape the carnage is a crime against humanity and will never be forgotten. The last Gaza attack was the day I lost all respect and sympathy for ISrael. You treat people like animals, you get animals in return. The average Palestinian child is not a terroist, and the sooner the Israeli public wake up and smell the BS the IDF spout the better. The world is changing, people are getting Savvy.
Who is this Jew who does not know his Bible. Have you not read about Sodom and Gomorrah. have you not read about Noah's arch have you not read about what took Israel to Babylon. Are you aware of the devilish things that pass for religion that goes on in Haiti. do you think they are the poorest nation in the western hemisphere for nothing God is not some fuzzy benevolent figure which present day western culture conjures up when they want to excuse all excesses. What is the blasphemy in what Pat Robertson said. You can rant and rave all you want. If you don't believe in the God of judgment watch what will happen to the next leader in Israel who gives away land that God gave to the Jews. Go and read the Bible and acquaint yourself with the God of the Bible and not the concepts you have in your head
Well, why pray for the mess he made to be cleaned up? Surely "he" could have just prevented it in the first place?
OF course we all pray for the people of Haiti at this time..but prayer in the sense of fellow humans comuserating with them for the loss of loved ones and hoping the survivors do survive--but be realistic-donation money to relief efforts will do more good than anything an uncaring "LORD" will do in this situation.. LOOK-IF there is a GOD,HE (IT) might have set the laws of tectonic plate movement for hHIs planetary creation-but after that those laws take over-nothing more HE can do about it...When you live in an Earthqake zone, the statistical probabilities take over -GOD is out of the picture...HE did not cause this event, nor did He care to prevent it...HE also NEVER promised us a Heaven but his PR sinmeisters delude us into thinking we'll earn Heaven brownie points if we HELP the poor victims of such catstrophe's-we should HELP them not because of such delusion, but because its our HUMANELY duty of our fellow humans ...in that sense we humans are better than the Big Fellow Upstairs.

Strange view of the Lord. As if God deliberately brought devastation to those unfortunate people. That's still too close to Robertson's crazy thinking, for my taste.
And hide behind their own civilians while trying to murder our civilians: Palestinian girl: Hamas responsible for war http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLIdxF-GHWw That was broadcast on Palie TV. Hamas - Human Shield Confession http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0wJXf2nt4Y That was also broadcast on Palie TV, and notice how proud Fathi Hammad is about it. In this one, Hamas calls upon all of the children of Gaza to go out and act as human shields: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBYtij4Q7sE Here's a general overview (along with another jihadi confession): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vH 0tEceCe9Y Cast Lead Video: Hamas Terrorist uses Children as Human Shield http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vHDyuSTneA And there's a ton more. Just go to YouTube and type in "hamas human shield". That's not at all the case with the poor Haitians.
even now, after all of this, even now, you are hard-hearted. ..."oh sour grapes, i've lost my heart...". e.o.m. to 'ab' pray without ceasing, thank you for going to G-D. See you soon!
I guess the dead children, babies and women who died buried alive or in horrific pain with missing body parts after the shelling of Gaza don't get a prayer. One wonders if Israel would have even stirred over Haiti if it wasn't for the fact Israeli's have suffered there. If Israel is supposedly sorry for the deaths of the innocents in Gaza why didn't we see their fantastic sniffer dogs and more trying to locate the terrified injured children who lay dying under the rubble. Israel has a concious when it suits it and that's about it.
he does not wish to feel pain, guilt, or empathy. By blaming the Haitians for their plight, he absolves himself of the need to feed the pain of the victim, even though he did not cause it. This is why people blame rape victims, and is the core of Holocaust denial, and Nakba denial as well. Pity requires effort, and the guilty do not deserve pity.
Dude, this is a prayer, an act of good. The guy probably says a thousand prayers a day for Israel, do you want him to write an article every time so that you know. 100000+ people may have died. anything that happened in Israel since its existence pales by comparison. I know that you think your blood is more precious than others - but it isn't. Unless of course your blood runs blue - then it is very valuable for pharma research I presume that since you haven't published any prayers for Israel that you say any either?! You must be so self indulgent that you walk around feeling sorry for yourself all day and can't see the pain of others. Get a clue. But I doubt you will, your meekness will get in your way.
Let's pray for the peace we all long for. Let's pray these poor souls will find some comfort knowing they aren't forgotten. Let us also be grateful for what we have, freedom, and the one who brings us life and love. Thank you Gd for hearing us and please help these people so devastated by this earthquake.
Amen
"Min hametzar karati Yah, anani vamerchavyah" From the narrow places I called out to God, who answers me with Divine expanded perspective, the expansiveness of the open field.
What an example of one who is enlightened by the Spirit, Bradly Burston. Simply beautiful. Reverend Pat Robinson, himself, in my opinion is possessed by a negative spirit.
We all have sinned and fallen short of your glory; we do not understand, sometimes what we say without stepping back. Remember your promise to us the children of your beloved and anointed David the line of your friend Abraham, the stars as in skies, in your anger you surely still have a soft spot for us. The world is spinning too fast for us to comprehend fast enough. Though the last days must be as it is written, help us understand your course and protect us from the lover of innocent blood; his bid to keep many from you. Remove the wall oh LORD of misunderstanding so that we can all speak in the same language of love, your beloved Children through Christ our Savior and LORD. Rather than hopelessness bring understanding that is beyond our understanding as you have always done and will do for ever and ever for all your siblings on earth.
Because from what I have seen of your articles, there aren't prayers; just criticism. Prayer necessarily means belief in God and His divine will and omnipotence. Your own nation's return to its ancestral lands is today's most outstanding example, and yet you don't accept that. This is why you complain about the settlers, when in fact, you are no different. It's all part of God's returning you to your land. Or does prayer and Divine Will only apply to Haiti and elsewhere, but not Israel?
