A new business venture may make Israel's streets greener by 2011

A major business venture between an Israeli man and a French-Japanese company may help make our streets greener by the start of the next decade.

On Sunday, Shai Agassi and Renault-Nissan signed a partnership at the residence of President Shimon Peres, which launches a venture that will bring thousands of electric-powered cars to Israel.

The agreement secures the mass marketing of the electric cars in Israel, in an attempt to reduce the carbon emissions that are so devastating to the planet.
