Two Palestinians and one Israel Defense Forces soldier were wounded on Friday in the weekly protests in the villages of Na'alin and Bil'in, where Palestinian and international activists regularly protest against the construction of Israel's separation barrier.

Some 400 protesters hurled firebombs and rocks and rolled burning tires at Israeli troops who responded with riot dispersal means.

Palestinians said two people were hurt, one of them seriously after he was hit in the head by a tear gas canister.

Associated Press Television News footage showed one of the protesters being struck in the head by what looked like a gas canister.

About 80 demonstrators participated in the Bilin protest, where an IDF soldier was lightly wounded after stones were pelted at him.
