12-year-old boy drowns in Galilee stream

Also Sunday, a teenage boy disappeared while swimming in the 'disappearing lake' in the Jordan valley.

A twelve-year-old boy drowned in the Snir river Sunday, while on a trip to the upper Galilee.

Personnel from the Golan Heights rescues unit arrived on the scene and attempted to revive the boy, to no avail.

Also Sunday, a teenage boy disappeared while swimming in a spring near Moshav Nehamia in the Jordan Valley. The boy's friends say they last saw him swimming in the "disappearing lake" when he vanished. Rescue personnel have launched a search for the boy.

On Saturday, a three-year-old from Nahariya was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after nearly drowning in a pool at a Galilee kibbutz.
