Angel is Director of the Institute for Jewish Ideas and Ideals (jewishideas.org), Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Shearith Israel in New York City and author and editor of 30 books, most recently Maimonides: Essential Teachings in Jewish Faith and Ethics (Skylight Illuminations, 2012).
