U.S. President Barack Obama makes a statement on the Affordable Health Care Act .
With Obamacare, U.S. Supreme Court once again has the last word - or does it?

The Affordable Health Care decision means Americans — even those who oppose the law and disagree with the decision upholding it — will benefit enormously. The ruling marks an important event in our constitutional history, but its full impact is unclear.

The two men suspected by the FBI as being behind the Boston marathon bombing
How terrorists test the U.S. and Israeli legal systems

Unlike terrorist suspects in Israel, the Boston bomber has the basic rights of a criminal defendant; he may seek a highly-publicized execution, or martyrdom, but the targeting of so many civilians will mean it will be hard for the Attorney-General to avoid seeking the death penalty.

Israel can only depend on itself

For 65 years, Israel has been the target of more condemnation, hatred and enmity than any other nation in the world, including, increasingly, from the center-left and the center, despite its extraordinary achievements.

Presidential trip: The symbolism succeeded, but what happens next?

Ironically, the New York Times' Iron Dome 'expose' was the worst spoiler of Obama's visit, clouding the president's assurances on Israel's security. The good news is the closeness on Iran policy between the U.S. and Israel and the absence of demands for preconditions to Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

What are the implications for Israel of Hagel's confirmation?

It's now more important than ever for Obama to send a message to Tehran that regardless of who heads the Defense Department, U.S. policy is to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Will Brooklyn College now co-sponsor an anti-BDS event?

Mayor Bloomberg and the New York Times willfully distorted the opposition to Brooklyn College's BDS event. It was not about academic freedom: It was a principled objection to departmental sponsorship of BDS' hate speech – one whose goal is blacklisting all Israeli, Jewish institutions and ultimately the end of Israel's right to exist.

Netanyahu, show the U.S. that Israel does know its own best interests

I urge President Abbas to re-engage with my no-preconditions negotiations formula he signed in 2012. At the same time, Netanyahu must work hard to construct a coalition that does not tie his hands in terms of the Palestinians.

Stop the slaughter, change U.S. gun laws now

If the Newtown killings don’t oblige legislators and courts to show courage against the gun lobby and its junk politics and to end the easy availability of weapons that are efficient killing machines, what ever will?

Israel's right to self-defense against Hamas

The media and international community's failure to distinguish between the Israeli military and Hamas terrorists is not only immoral but encourages terrorism and erodes the basic principles of just warfare.

A challenge to opponents of Jewish refugee status

If Hanan Ashrawi really believes that Jews who were forced to leave their homes are not refugees, let her defend her views in a public forum. I hereby challenge her to a debate on that issue.

Don't allow religious fanatics to censor free speech

Those who have come of age in repressive Middle Eastern regimes may not be familiar with individual freedom of speech. But the death and violence following the recent anti-Islam film should not be a trigger for a debate about the limits of free speech.
