There is no ethnic problem in Iran as far as the Azeris are concerned. Azeris are religiously even more fanatical than the Persians and played the key roles in the revolution. So Barel's paragraph on that and the Beloujis is baseless. Iranian Azeris never ever manifested a willingness for independence, nor for the last 600 years anyway. Bar'el is also wrong in interpreting the way in which the RG is seen in Iran. They are seen as heroes of the country, especially after the British event, and there is no possibility of them losing their grip on the country, they are just too powerful.
