The Interior Ministry in Israel is in very odd situation. First, it is always run on political, ethnic and family links. Second, it hates and it is hated. An immigrant part is a small part in this ministry. A majority of its clerks (including former immigrants from all over the world) in the relevant to immigration departments are driven by an instinctive hate to immigrants. But what can you do if your job is judged on a base of how many foreigners you sent back or to how many -0%, 25%, 50% and 75%- Jewish-fraction immigrants you uncovered? You need to have a certain personality to want to work there, but someone must do this janitor job. What would you do if you worked there? I would start from removing the nationality note in the teudat ole from Jew or Unidentified to Zionist or not-Zionist or anti-Zionist. Then, I would ask this Ukrainian guy is he is the first, second or third. After that, I would make a decision.
