The problem lies in YUs concern for its own financial well-being rather than its students. I attended MTA in the late 1970s and can attest that there was at least 1 teacher who was unfit (not for sexual abuse reasons). But YU wont do the right thing because they know YU can be sued for hiding the information from students and for potentially allowing these jerks from abusing others. YU has real liability here. But to protect their sorry rear end they put out a silly statement of "apology."
