Your way of thinking is typical of a certain kind of European mentality according to which everyone had to integrate into mainstream society and be the same as it. Look at India, where loads of minority religions have survived for centuries at peace with the majority. Nobody in India thinks Sikhs or Jains are "racist" for keeping their own religion and customs. In Europe, however, the concept of diveristy is not deeply rooted.
