Which causes are you referring to? Not all of us even knew who Litvinoff was before reading this piece -- and the only two causes referred to here are (a) opposing Hitler, and (b) 'the plight of Soviet Jews.' One can also reasonably infer that Litvinoff opposed anti-semitism.
