That Israel's economy would collapse without US annual support of some US $3.5 billion is stark nonsense. Israel´s estimated budget for 2011 was some US $ 75 billion, and its BNP in 2008 already surpassed US $ 160 billion. Israel could survive without a big problem if the US would halt its donations, but it would have to cut spending, of course. The impact would be noticeable, but by no means crippling. There is no reason to assume Israel would collapse, it is simply a myth that the outside world is footing the bill for Israel´s survival. It is a stubborn myth, some Israel bashers produce this argument in every discussion, but it is obviously not true. I advise you to check your facts before posting, it would have saved your face.
