The author has revealed Hillary Clinton to be a flip-flopping, unprincipled politician, OK -- that's a "no brainer", if you will. What I fail to see is any "brains" behind the succeeding remarks. I assume that the author meant well, but just couldn't figure out what point he was trying to make. In calling the Arab-Israeli conflict "the oldest conflict in the Middle East", It seems the author believes Americans have no brains. True, the Israeli-Arab conflict began under the British and has been raging in full-fledged warfare since 1948 -- an old conflict, but not the oldest (The Arab-European struggle is older). That fact aside, the author seems to be using the term "old" in the sense of "outdated" and "irrelevant". I don't know whom Mr. Akivar is trying to convince, that this conflict has somehow become passe, and that supporting a candidate who ignores it is somehow a "no-brainer". Of course, it is a "no-brainer" to someone without brains.

Hello 40th birthday, goodbye news

A milestone birthday is as good an opportunity as any for a midlife crisis about the Middle East crises.
