The only reason any flare-up is likely is the imminent end of the building freeze, at which point some really big decisions would have to be taken that would put an end to mealy-mouthed slogans. And we can't live without those slogans. They're our only lifeline in the constant battle to avoid the truth. Here's the truth we'd need to wage another few wars to postpone facing. We will have to share Jerusalem; Palestine will have to be equivalent to the West Bank and Gaza. Is it really worth postponing the truth yet again? Is it worth the death and the maiming?
