These "desperate" people travel through at least one HUGE country before they reach Israel. If they were that desperate, they would stay in Egypt. Just like the groups who travel through Europe to get to the UK, where they're assured an easy life with benefits, these are not "asylum seekers". I'm sorry if there's no work for them In Africa, but from seeing the crowds of them standing around on street corners all day in Eilat, it's obvious there's no work for them here either.
