The killing of the two Israeli soldiers happened at a time in which most of the Israeli public, together with a lot of people all over the world, really believed that peace was possible and that it was just a matter of a little bit more negotiation between the two sides. The lynching was a bucket of cold water on the face of all the naive pacifists. Till today I feel sorry for these two guys, the same way I feel about the Briton butchered yesterday. May his family and friends find the way to forgive and overcome the pain.
