Netanyahu is receiving pressure from a number of sources, all of whom are "disappointed" with his peace efforts. When Sharon was PM and he received such pressure in the days after the Saudi peace plan was proposed, he made a unilateral withdrawal from Gaza. Predictably, Gaza turned into a hotbed of Hamas activity and stepped up the attacks on Israel. This stopped the peace pressure. Ironically, some Israelis seem to credit the Gaza withdrawal as a peace move when instead, it was a move to avoid peace. The Gaza withdrawal provided long term benefits in Israel's quest to avoid peace, but these benefits are diminishing and the peace pressure is mounting to a high level once again. Look for Bibi to stop the pressure without giving much ground, but he may have to give a little ground to show he is serious.
