For too long the Middle East so-called peace process has been in the hands of the politicians and diplomats when, in fact, you have a legal problem. In the USA when the government takes someone`s property the owner receives "just compensation". It`s in our Constitution, 5th Amendment. In order to solve the problem of displaced, persecuted Jews, the UN took land in the middle east from Palestinian Arabs and gave it to Jews as recompense for what the Germans did. The Palestinians were never compensated. This is a festering sore that oozes discord to this day. The UN should set up a compensation commission where everyone who has a claim resulting from the UN's creation of Israel can come, present that claim and walk away with a check in exchange for a release of claims. This seems fair.
