.....because the soldiers of most armies in this world are getting into exactly those kind of situations during war time, this is by no means an "Israeli only" thing. Sorry, but you simply can't have a Geneva Convention for Israelis and an other one for the rest of the world, no matter how much you may feel under "stress"..... However, one could indeed discuss whether the term "attempted murder" is correct, it would probably a bit more suitable to call it "murder put up with". But you might probably agree, that from a moral point of view, the difference is only a marginal one.....
