It is detailed history that Jewish families in Arab countries were made to feel unwanted . This was followed quickly by edicts of hatred by the Arab leaders. Whether the Jewish people left on their own accord or pushed out is a moot point because wherever they landed be it Israel or other countries the Jewish people added to the richness of those countries. They were taken in an made to feel at home. What the hell happened with all the host countries of the Palestinians. The Palestinians still live in refugee camps and were never allowed to become citizens. I really do not think the Jewish families want to return to those Arab countries and forget about compensation from those Arab lands it will never happen. The point is what happened in 1947 / 48 led to two groups being displaced but only one still whining about it because their host countries disavow them.

from the article: Israel's Deputy FM Ayalon: There will be no peace without a just resolution of Jewish refugee problem
