There are subsets of the US pop (Rapture-seeking evangelicals, zionists, Faux News followers) who support Israels current settlement policies but the aid is coming despite the US government's disapproval. Iran would still be a parliamentary democracy as it was in 1952, had PM Mosadej not tried to nationalize THEIR oil and the US/UK replaced him with their puppet, Shah Reza Pahlevi.
