After the 1967 war, Israel offered to give back all of the lands it captured, in exchange for full relations and recognition from the Arab states. The Arab states said they would never recognize Israel, and would continue to destroy Israel. Second, Israel gave up the entire Sinai, Gaza, and Southern Lebanon. In return, it got Anti-Semitic rhetoric from the Egyptian press, and rockets from Gaza and Southern Lebanon.
