Israel's actions must be judged in terms of international law, not according to the whims of its citizens. The overhelming consensus is that Israel is entitled to be recognised as a sovereign country on land between the Med and the 1949 armistice line. Israelis who live outside of these determinants are doing so illegally. If the West Bank poses a serious security problem for Israel than it should station troops there and build an infrastructure for them. It does not need to take hundreds of thousands of Messianics and those looking for cheap housing with them. When Israel needed to have a military presence in Lebanon it did not have hundreds of thousands of Messianics living north of Metulla. Why - because on ideological grounds it held no attraction for them. The civilian occupation is an illegal enterprise, it cannot be justified on any grounds.
