Almost everybody missed the point - Gaon - who is from a very famous sephardic family was saying that mediterannean music today is garbage - because of the lyrics and the "cheapness" of it - and that the hebrew is of an appalingly low level - often with grammatical mistakes. he said nothing about the "music" itself - and I should mention that the earlier generation of mizrahi and mediterannean singers sang and wrong at much higher levels - he's absolutly right. and by the way - it is EXACTLY like in the US where there is hip hop with intelligent lyrics and GANGSTA RAP with horrendous grammar and really offensive lyrics. understand what he is saying before you all get offended.
