Dear Yossi, You are correct. The only success for a lasting peace will be to rise up and to the negotiating table and be willing to make painful concessions. Unfortunately, you need a partner with similar strength, resolve, and morality to make this an effective strategy. Until a partner emerges from Syria, Lebanon, or Palestine we are relegated to defending ourselves. Negotiating with people bent on your destruction is not a path to peace. Anwar Sadat was welcome by thousands when he had the backboe to address the knesset in person to ask for a land for peace trade. King Hussein (the father) showed similar courage and now we have peace with both countries. Arafat, Nasrallah, and the rest of Hamas can negotiate between bullets. A lasting peace will take people like you Yossi and patience that a partner will step up in the same way. Until then Chazak veematz!!! PS Israeli bullets don't create hatred. Arab's need to be responsible for themselves. They are not children!
