There is still a fire raging, there are 40 people waiting to be buried so this is not the time for the blame game. However its not as black & white as you make out. Be it national government or at a municipal level everybody has a budget and the funds must be shared between alot of departments we can't say well the fire service deserves, the army deserves more, the schools deserve more everybody gets a cut of the pie and sometimes its not enough and its very easy to say when there is a problem why didn't they get given more money so they were better able to cope with this situation. The fire service got their share of the budget and maybe it was not enough but thats the way it goes no individual politican or department is responsible. The fact there are no fire planes is not the fault of this government because the country is 63 years old & this government has only been around for 2 years now and nobody ever bought any planes so it would be wrong to blame this government for it. This fire is also bigger than any ever experienced before and nobody was ready for it. Fires in the Golan & Shalom Tower were just fires and the fire service had the equipment the needed to control them and the did. This fire is on a scale Israel has never experienced before and everybody from the politicians to the firemen were take by surprise and its very easy to look back and condemn. The whole point of this article seems to be for you to say I told you so Yossi, give you a chance to boast about how clever you are. As your neither an MK or an official advisor of any kind your in no position to place blame for not listening to what you say and then acting on your advice. Right now though I would have thought that peoples thoughts should be with the families of the dead and supporting the fire service not saying I told you so.... for once please stop your Israel bashing.
