Yossi is letting off steam without offering real solutions. Israel certainly does need to adopt some aspects of socialism for a very limited number of its citizens. The main problem with socialism is that many on the border who could, with extra effort and sacrifice, stay out of the category of being helpless, choose rather to slide over and hope someone else will look after them. Granted, there are no easy answers, and Israel has added challanges unique to it. I also believe that with bigger government there is greater abuse of the system. Israel has to do a lot better at fighting corruption. It also need to cap the gap between average government related jobs and the national non goverment average.
