WhiskyTangoFoxtrot, you are correct. The Israeli political system with it's horse-trading over who gets what positions, is very much to blame. Note that former MK Yossi Sarid who wrote this article was at one stage Minister of Environmental Protection. He got that position simply so that he could get a limo and driver, a fancier office and an even more outrageously generous retirement benefit (which he is cashing in at this very moment). Minister Sarid said, back then, that he didn't know anything about environmental protection nor did he care. He just wanted the title. And now he complains??? Yossi Sarid should be ashamed of himself. His Meretz party of corrupt malcontents is nearly bankrupt and out of business. Good riddance!
