Israel's Foreign Ministry ordered to 'reassess' EU involvement with Palestinians after decision to label West Bank goods; 'decision is almost completely devoid of any real significance,' official says.23:15 29.11.15 | 25 comments
"Muslims account for only 20% of all Arabs" As I understand it, there are 400 million Arabs in the world. There are 1 billion Muslims. If only 20% of the Arabs are Muslim, that's 80 million Arab Muslims. I don't think there are only 80 million Arabs who consider themselves Muslim. I don't think there are 320 million Arabs who consider themselves to be non-Muslim. I think, what you meant was more like: of all the worlds Muslims, only 40% or so are Arabs. The country in the world with the most Muslims is Indonesia. The inhabitants of Pakistan would be considered Muslims but not Arabs. Iran is populated by Persian Muslims. I'm not sure if the figure of 400 million Arabs included Iranians. It shouldn't, but I don't remember where I originally got that figure. I do agree that some Arabs are non-Muslims and that, therefore, one cannot assume that "Arab support" is "Muslim support". But your "only 20%" figure is way off.
