"The problem is that war is not always rational and takes on its own life." - Yoram Yup. "You want to say you will accept none, and beat them into the ground if they attack." - Yoram Any state which attacks Israel can ONLY be dealt a brutal blow. The problem right now isn't Syria attacking Israel, it is people who think wonderful things will happen if Israel attacks Syria. For all the pseudo-intellectualizing of the far right in recent years, they have both in the US and Israel failed to produce the results they anticipated and intended. While one may or may not fight a war intelligently, war is not a subject for intellectual dalliance and wishful thinking. Before anyone rushes to war with Syria or Iran, they need to seriously consider what happens next. What if they win? Can Israel occupy Syria? Can the US occupy Iran? Just because you want to have a war is about the worst possible reason for starting one.
